Emma Brooker is going through a tough time on Coronation Street, following the death of her father.
She soon discovered that he wasn’t her biological dad, and in fact Steve McDonald held that title – and now he’s trying to get to know her.
Emma doesn’t get along with her mother Fiona Middleton, a former Corrie resident and ex of Steve, and the recent drama has forced mother and daughter further apart.
But Coronation Street viewers made a discovery of their own this week that has left them stunned, and calling for a soap crossover.
Emma, played by actress Alexandra Mardell, has a big link to rival ITV soap Emmerdale.
Her grandmother Pam Middleton, who hasn’t been on screen for years, is a super familiar face.
Pam is played by actress Elizabeth Estensen, who plays none other than Diane Sugden in the Dales and has done since 1999.
Prior to this role Elizabeth starred as Pam in appearances between 1996 and 1998, and now her granddaughter Emma is on the Cobbles.
The official Coronation Street Twitter shared a throwback snap after she was mentioned in the latest episode.
