Love Island might be over, but thousands of hopeful singletons are already applying for the next series.
But it looks like they probably should have either found themselves agents or become serious ‘social media influencers’ before sending in that application form.
It was found that only 16 per cent of this year’s 36 Islanders were chosen through the general application process – through which 85,000 people applied.
Meanwhile a whopping 83 per cent were either found and cast by the programme’s casting team or put forward by professional agents.
The report said: “On series 5 of Love Island to date (15 July), there have been 36 contributors.
