Love Island viewers have accused ITV bosses of fixing the show after becoming sceptical over the latest bombshell twist.

The allegations came after the contestants were asked to choose between sending original star Michael Griffiths home or his latecomer partner Joanna Chimonides.
The saved stars opted to save firefighter Michael allowing him to remain in the villa alongside former girlfriend Amber Gill, who has been battling to win him back.

Some fans of the ITV2 dating series were questioning Monday night’s ‘surprise twist’ and thought producers had plotted to split Michael and Joanna up.

Taking to Twitter after the scenes aired, one viewer complained: “Shocking how Love Island have fixed that. Talk about managing the story line…”

Another fired: “Love Island producers wanted Michael to go back to Amber even if he doesn’t want to. Everything is staged and a fix.”

“It’s such a fix this year.. it’s so set up it’s unreal,” complained a third.

But other fans were loving the drama.

“If Amber goes back with Michael I’m gonna be SOOO disappointed in her,” cried one engrossed fan.

“Michael has a cunning plan……win back Amber, win the money, sorted!” predicted another.

Joanna was left furious after Michael was saved by their fellow islanders on Monday night.

Michael decided to stay in the villa despite claiming he had found what he was looking for.
