Orlando Pirates attacking midfielder Kuda Mahachi is in a race against time to be fit for the club’s crunch Absa Premiership clash against Cape Town City on May 4.
The Zimbabwe international sat out Wednesday’s 1-0 victory over Maritzburg United with an adductor strain, and will now go through a rehabilitation process to be ready to face City.
After a slow start to the campaign since his move from Lamontville Golden Arrows, Mahachi has become more influential in recent months, but has been missing since the 0-0 draw with title rivals Mamelodi Sundowns on April 1.Pirates have also confirmed that goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane is being treated fior a sprained finger, with no time-frame placed on his return.
