Mike Thalassitis says Love Island cut out his good side in poignant unearthed exit interview before suicide

Fans have unearthed Mike Thalassitis’ Love Island exit interview where he claimed his lighter side was edited out as producers zoned in on his muggy nature.

His chat with Caroline Flack makes poignant viewing after his tragic death on March 15 in Edmonton, North London.

The footballer turned reality star was found hanging in woodland aged just 26.

In the aftermath of his tragic death fans blamed Love Island bosses and the lure of instant fame for Mike’s depression. The ITV2 show later announced a change in after-care protocol.

But, in an unearthed interview of Mike – affectionately known as Muggy – fans say he appears uncomfortable at times as he reveals show bosses didn’t show any of his lighter moments.

When Caroline asks Mike if viewers saw the best of him, he replies: “I think you saw the real Mike and how I would cope with situations. But it was all serious. So that’s what you guys show

“The triangle [referring to the situation with Olivia Attwood and Chris Hughes] was all serious stuff.”

He adds: “Me and Johnny we were close, I used to call him J Bo – not sure you saw any of that.”
